3 Film opening research

For the three film openings I choose to research I choose The films: 1-How to lose a guy in 10 days(which already watched and I liked a lot.) 2- People we meet on vacation) 3- Anyone but You(I already watched it and I honestly really liked it).

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days – I already watched this one and honestly, I really liked it. The opening does a great job of showing the main characters’ personalities and the kind of story we’re going to get, which is fun, romantic, and funny. It sets up the conflict right away without feeling forced, which is something I might want to try in our opening.

People We Meet on Vacation – I just watched this one, and it was really good! I liked it a lot. The opening immediately shows the main characters and their chemistry, and it makes you care about them right away. It’s romantic and funny but also feels real, which I think is super important for a two-minute opening. I want to try to capture that same vibe in our own project.

Anyone But You – I’ve already watched this one too, and I honestly really liked it. The opening immediately sets the tone and makes you want to see what happens next. It’s a good example of how to start a story that feels romantic and lighthearted but still has some tension, which is what we’re trying to do with our two minute opening.

Overall, analyzing these openings made me realize how important it is to grab the audience’s attention right away and make them invested in the characters. I think I can use some of these ideas in our own project.
